Treaty Oak x Louis De Guzman x Blind Barber Take Over

louis header@2x-80.jpg

At Treaty Oak Distilling we do things a little differently. As a team of sommeliers, botanists, distillers and architects, our varied backgrounds represent a new way of spirits making. We look to art, film, music, cultural exchange and beyond to push ourselves and fuel a new path forward. In our pursuit, we find that our path often crosses with other creatives. We have also found, when you take time to let different worlds collide a new sort of magic is born.

This event will be the showcasing of joined forces; Chicago's Blind Barber and Chicago based visual artist, Louis De Guzman and you're invited!

Beverage Director, Joe Briglio, from the neighborhood barbershop and lounge that was born in NYC and then replicated in Chicago, will take over Treaty Oak's Cocktail Lab, the brand-new speakeasy where science meets the art of cocktailing, from 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM. In addition to Joe's creations, featuring the Treaty Oak portfolio of (Red Handed and Ghost Hill) Whiskies and Waterloo Gin, Alice's Restaurant will be serving up classic Chicago style food specials.

To make Joe feel at home, John "Skinny" Cleveland, owner of Austin's Skinny's Barbershop will set up a vintage barber chair in the lab offering guests fresh shaves with all proceeds going to Movember.

In addition, we will be celebrating the collaboration of Louis De Guzman, Chicago-based visual artist and designer, and Treaty Oak Distilling. When art and spirits collide, beautiful things happen.

Come see for yourself.

Louis De Guzman, Chicago-based visual artist and designer, will also be in attendance to preview a collaboration he's been working on with the vanguard distillery.

+ABOUT BLIND BARBER+

Blind Barber fashions itself as a “men’s lifestyle brand” and they sell haircare products, as well. Customers can grab a haircut and shave while holding a cocktail in their hand by day- the action shifts to the backroom for men and women into more of a retro rec room vibe in the evenings. Quickly becoming the place to go out in Chicago's West Loop. https://blindbarber.com/pages/chicago

+ABOUT SKINNY'S BARBER SHOP+
Skinny's Barber Shop is different than the chain of so-called "barber shops" that seem to be all over Austin. They are an old school barber shop using traditional methods to give their clients the highest quality cuts. Skinny's is the home of the Hand Crafted Haircut.
