Helping Hands Bowl Painting with The Art Garage

Oct Charity-01.jpg

Our October “Charity of the Month” is Helping Hands, so we’re kicking off our partnership with them by hosting a fun bowl painting party on Sunday, September 29th from 2-4! Come out and sip some Treaty Oak cocktails while painting a bowl to donate to this awesome org for their Empty Bowls Project.

This is a come-and-go sort of event. Treaty Oak guests can purchase a clay bowl and paint it with the help of artists from The Art Garage the day of the event. The painted bowls will be donated to The Empty Bowls Project where they will be up for sale with all proceeds going to TEBP.

In addition to hosting this Bowl Painting fundraiser for The Empty Bowls Project, we also donate fresh organic produce from our garden as often as we can (weekly during peak harvest) to Helping Hands Food Pantry, which supports The Empty Bowl Project, and we will be donating 5 gallons of soup from our kitchen at Alice’s Restaurant for the 22nd Annual Empty Bowls Project event at Dripping Springs Ranch Park on November 3, 2019.

Charity/ Cause: The Empty Bowl Project (which is supported in part by our October charity of the mont, Helping Hands Food Pantry)

The Empty Bowls Project in Dripping Springs is a family-fun event where the community comes together to share a wonderful meal, live music, fellowship, and most importantly, support our neighbors in need. More than 20 restaurants from Dripping Springs and Austin prepare and donate dozens of soups that are each distinct and delicious. In addition to supporting Helping Hands, guests select the perfect bowl to take home. Over 1000 beautiful and unique hand-thrown bowls and hand painted bowls are created by local artists and potters.
