Harvest Day

Fall has finally arrived and Treaty Oak is excited to hold its first annual Harvest Day on Saturday, November 16th.

VIP HARVEST TOUR, 1 - 4 PM

At Treaty Oak Distilling, we take our whiskey seriously and wanted to explore the role climate has in the whiskey aging process. Two years ago, we buried barrels of our Ghost Hill Bourbon Whiskey underground for an experiment in aging. The same juice was placed in a barrel that has been aging in our open-air Rickhouse. Tickets are available now, so join us as we exhume the buried barrel and conduct a side-by-side tasting with the bourbon that has been aging open-air!

Harvest Day ticket holders will begin with a historical tour of the Treaty Oak property formerly known as Ghost Hill Ranch, and will learn about the folks who’ve used these grounds as a watering hole and meeting place for hundreds of years.

Then guests will have an insider’s tour of the distillery, engaging in the process of whiskey making from fermentation to distillation to maturation. Our wheat farmer will speak about sustainable farming and the heirloom grains we source for our whiskey as we conduct the side-by-side tasting.

The tasting will conclude with bottling and wax-dipping your own two bottles to take home: Treaty Oak Ghost Hill Bourbon Barrel #739A and #739B.

Finally, feast on our pitmaster Scott Fogel’s oak wood inspired specials including Texas Brisket, Smoked New York Strip Skewers with housemade Chimichurri, Chicken al Carbon, and Portobello Mushrooms.
