Singer-songwriter Jacob Alan Jaeger is bringing an Americana-folk hybrid that is both electrified and melancholic. The former frontman of Austin-based band Ghosts Along the Brazos is embarking on a solo outing with his upcoming debut album Wineskin, set to be released in early April.
Though we don’t know much about what is to come, Jaeger seems to be shedding just a bit of his acoustic country skin for a fuller sound. Featuring local musicians Kristopher Wade and James Gwyn in his band, Jaeger’s first official single “Coastal Texas” is a slow burning production, an easy ode to his roots set on a steady rhythm, featuring a dash of bright harmonica.
Jaeger was established in the city of Austin in 2012, making specialized soundscapes based on the compositions of Jacob Alan Jaeger.
Today, Jaeger is admired the world over for their fashionable approach to traditional American music.
