"Brother" Ethan Shaw honed his skills as a multi-instrumentalist/producer over two decades in the music industry. A Berklee College of Music alumni, he has performed on over 25 records and co produced several albums on the Bloodchili record label. Ethan has performed with Buck Owens, Dwight Yoakum, Radney Foster, Marty Stuart, the Mavericks, Wayne Hancock, Mr. Fabulous, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Bruce Robison, and the Derailers, among others. He has performed on Late Night with Conan O'Brian, MTV, and CMT, almost every state in the USA, and several countries in Europe. Ethan is a founding member of Chili Cold Blood and the Moonhangers, and has produced and engineered every album on their record label since 2010. Primarily a steel guitarist these days, Ethan is completely self-taught on the steel, except for lessons with the legendary Herb Remington (of Bob Wills fame). He also sings and plays upright bass, guitar, trumpet, drums, banjo, dobro, keyboards, and steel guitar through a spinning Leslie speaker (easily mistaken for an organ). Eclectic in taste and output, each recording that Ethan is involved in is interesting and well-executed.
